The De Pere Historic Preservation Commission and the De Pere Historical Society celebrate May as Historic Preservation Month. They will sponsor guided Sidewalk Walking Tours of the North Broadway Historic District on Sunday, May 25, 2008, at 11:00AM and 1:00PM. The free one-hour tours will start at White Pillars Museum, 403 N. Broadway, De Pere. Featured will be houses dating back to 1836 plus Polo Resto, the restored historic Gas Station now located at the south entrance to Voyageur Park at Front and William Streets.

The State Government Accountability Board- Election Division has announced the

"Voter Public Access" assistance for the public.  If you are a registered voter, you can now go online at http://elections.state.wi.us and look up your polling place, what you will be voting for prior to each election, who your elected officials are and other election related information.

 

Bulky and metal items will be picked up on the residents regularly scheduled garbage pick up day during the first FULL week of April thru September.

Brush will be picked up on the residents regularly scheduled garbage pick up day during the third FULL week of April thru September. BRUSH DOES NOT INCLUDE GRASS CLIPPINGS OR YARD WASTE.

Anyone moving in or out of the city MUST come over to the MSC with proof they are moving in or out to schedule a special pick up (only 1 move-in or move-out special pick up will be scheduled per resident/address).

We would like to request citizens to volunteer for 'Citizens Corps'. This group consists of five different areas reserve medical corps, fire corps, CERT, Volunteers in policing, and neighborhood watch. These programs are definitely of great importance to the emergency services on an ongoing basis and in the event of disasters. Garage/Yard Sale signs are not permitted in the green space between the sidewalk and roadway, in medians or utility poles.  Anything on public property can be removed without notice.
