The De Pere Park, Recreation & Forestry Department offers a variety of recreational activities for youth, adults and senior citizens year-round. Recreation programs are mainly held at the De Pere Community Center, Municipal Service Center and at school facilities located in De Pere. Sports leagues/programs and aquatic classes are held at various parks and school facilities within the City of De Pere.

For current activities please refer to our Department brochure. These brochures are published twice a year in April & October. The brochure link can be found at the bottom of the City's homepage under Public Information or under City Departments/Park, Recreation & Forestry/Recreation. A limited amount of brochures are printed and can be picked up at the following locations during regular business hours: the De Pere Community Center, Municipal Service Center, City Hall or the Kress Family Library.

To register for a class, a participant must fill out and mail or drop off a registration from or register online. A Family Profile must be created online or a Program Participant Form must be completed initially before any participant may register for a program. The profile creates an account for your family in our registration software system and should be updated as changes occur.

Residents are given a 1-week priority registration period. Registration is accepted by the following methods: Online (click on Register for Recreation Programs under Services at the bottom of the Recreation page), Mail, Fax, Drop Box or Walk-in. For your convenience, a 24-hour drop box is located at the west entrance of the Community Center, 600 Grant St., De Pere, WI 54115.

Little Free Library

The GFWC Woman's Club of De Pere, a volunteer organization in De Pere that supports reading for children, literacy for adults and libraries around the world, has sponsored the first Little Free Library in De Pere. It is located at the west entrance of the Community Center, 600 Grant St. Anyone is welcome to use it - take a book to read and enjoy; return a book to share with others. Donations of books are welcome! If you have questions or would like to donate to the Little Free Library please call 339-4097.
