Nutrition Program


The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Brown County offers a nutrition program for De Pere residents who are disabled and for senior citizens, 60 years and over.  Meals are delivered to home-bound residents or served at the Community Center at 11:00 a.m., Monday thru Friday.  Reservations MUST be made one day in advance by 10:00 a.m.  For more information call 983-1675.

Homebound Meals are designed to provide one hot, nutritious meal each weekday if you are:
  • 60 years of age or older; or
  • an adult age 18+ and are on disability or in the process of applying for disability (with an approved waiver) and
  • are homebound,
  • not able to go to a dining site,
  • not able to prepare meals,
  • don't have someone to prepare a meal for you; and
  • do not reside in a complex that offers meals
 
Even if you are running errands in town, or attending a morning or an afternoon program, we would like to invite everyone aged 60 and over to dine with us at the De Pere Community Center. We serve Monday thru Friday at 11:30 a.m. and would love for you to join us! Advanced reservations are required and can be made by calling 983-1675 by 11:00 a.m. the day prior. Lunch is provided on a donation basis with a suggested amount of $4.00.

Volunteers Needed

The De Pere Community Center in partnership with the Brown County Nutrition Program continues to grow helping those in need.  We are looking for volunteers to assist on various weekdays as well as cover for other time off to help with office work, daily clerical work including daily delivery preparation, ordering and record keeping for the Home Delivered Meal Program.

Medicare Questions!

An ADRC volunteer will be at the Community Center to answer questions on such topics such as home health care, coverage of hospital care, and more!

Senior Care Prescription Drug applications are available at the at the Aging, Disability & Resource Center, 300 S. Adams St., Green Bay, WI. For questions regarding the benefits or Medicare please contact ADRC at 448-4300.

"Here's to your Health"

Maintaining good health is important at any age and the more we know about our health, the better prepared we are when issues appear.  Join us for this monthly program which will give you the opportunity to learn, ask and share concerns and issues, helping you create an enriched, safe and independent life!  The lectures are presented by a Registered Nurse and are adapted to be engaging and informative for our senior audience.  Handouts will be available to reinforce the information covered.
