Professional Profile

The mayoral position is an elected position that serves a two-year term in office. The Mayor, as the Chief Executive Officer of the City, is the presiding officer at meetings of the Common Council, the Finance/Personnel Committee, and the Plan Commission. 
 
The Mayor appoints alderpersons and citizens to the following boards, commissions, and committees:  Historical Preservation Commission, Plan Commission, Police and Fire Commission, Board of Health, Board of Park Commissioners, Hotel-Motel Commission, Board of Review, Commission on Aging, Board of Appeals, Designated Offender Advisory Board, Designated Offender Appeal Board, Redevelopment Authority, De Pere Housing Authority, and Board of Canvassers.
 
Mayor Boyd was elected Mayor in April 2020 and elected to the First Aldermanic District in April 2008. Mayor Boyd was born and raised in the De Pere area. Mayor Boyd is married to Tracy, and has two daughters, McKenzie and Anna. Mayor Boyd is a teacher with the Unified School District of De Pere.

Education:  Graduated from Notre Dame Grade School, De Pere High School, and St. Norbert College.
